From April 30th to May 4th, the first Indonesia International Two-Wheeler, Parts and Supplies Exhibition (Asiabike Jakarta 2024) opened grandly at the Jakarta International Convention and Exhibition Center in Indonesia.  CNAE China Sodium Electricity showed up in Jakarta with its two-wheeler battery swapping products and solutions, demonstrating its strong product strength in the field of sodium battery swapping, assisting the "oil-to-electricity" project process in Southeast Asian countries, and jointly promoting sustainable development.

Live from the exhibition

At this exhibition, the Minister of Indonesia’s National Investment Agency visited the CNAE booth to learn about the company’s product overview. The Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Overseas Chinese Association, major Indonesian electric vehicle manufacturers and dealers visited the CNAE booth and expressed high recognition of the company’s products, hoping to achieve more friendly cooperation in the future.

Sodium batteries redefine power switching

At the CNAE booth, 32140 and 4695 sodium battery products were on display. The cathode materials are mainly polyanions and layered oxides. They have outstanding features such as ultra-low temperature, extreme safety, rich resources, fast charging and fast discharging.

Meanwhile, a variety of standard batteries and battery replacement solutions for two-wheelers were unveiled at the exhibition. CNAE's two-wheeler battery swap uses self-developed sodium battery packs. With "efficiency, safety, wide temperature, and convenience" as its core concepts, it redefines battery swap from the perspective of product advantages and solves the shortcomings of lithium batteries. It attracted many customers on site.  The consultation and understanding became a highlight of the venue.

Efficience: In terms of fast charging capabilities, the charging time of sodium-ion batteries only takes about 10 minutes, which is truly high-efficiency and allows users to travel more efficiently.

Safety: Compared with lithium batteries, sodium batteries have a very low probability of producing dendrites and will not cause short-circuit spontaneous combustion due to piercing the internal structure of the battery. Sodium batteries can survive tests such as overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, acupuncture, and extrusion.  Make sure there is no fire or explosion.

Wide temperature range: The operating temperature range of CNAE sodium batteries is between -45°C and 80°C. The battery still has a good capacity retention rate in high and low temperature environments, and the capacity retention rate in cold environments can still be close to 90%.

Convenient: 1 minute battery swap, fully charged for travel, "0" after-sales service, swap and charge at any time, making city travel more convenient.

Standard batteries for electric motorcycles, promoting "oil to electricity"

CNAE listened to the needs of global customers and developed standard batteries 7230 and 7260 specifically for electric motorcycles, empowering Southeast Asian countries' "oil-to-electricity" policy and meeting local demand for battery replacement for electric motorcycles.

Since 2019, in order to deal with carbon emissions and environmental pollution issues, Southeast Asian countries represented by Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam have introduced relevant policies to restrict the use of traditional fuel motorcycles. By 2023, Southeast Asian countries have successively introduced subsidies for the purchase of electric two-wheelers. Accelerating the "oil-to-electricity" process, the demand for electric two-wheeled travel in the Southeast Asian market is also being continuously released. Fuel motorcycles are gradually being replaced by electric two-wheeled products such as electric motorcycles, electric bicycles, and electric vehicles. Southeast Asia has also become another new area in the field of electric two-wheelers.

Among Indonesia’s approximately 270 million people, the number of motorcycle users reaches 130 million. Ranked among the top three in Asia.  The Indonesian two-wheeled vehicle market is growing rapidly. The motorcycle market size in 2023 will be approximately 48.43 billion yuan, accounting for 0.44% of GDP. According to Research and Markets forecasts, the Indonesian motorcycle market will maintain a compound annual growth rate of 7.1% in the future by 2032.  The annual market size will be close to 90 billion yuan.

In addition to battery swapping market products, CNAE also showcases core application products such as AGV batteries, tricycle power supplies, forklift specific power supplies, cleaning equipment power supplies, RV/ship power supplies, etc., mainly equipped with our company's specially developed sodium ion battery cells, making the performance of the products more outstanding, safer, more durable, more efficient, and still operating at ultra-low temperatures with high performance.

As the world's largest sodium power production company, CNAE has been actively exploring market demand. Indonesia is the first stop for China's sodium power to enter Southeast Asia. The company will combine the local environment and usage needs to develop battery products suitable for local use. We will formulate completed solutions, strengthen cooperation with local governments and electric vehicle companies, help Southeast Asian countries achieve low carbon emissions, work with global partners to promote the prosperity and development of new energy industries, and contribute to the green development of the earth.
