On April 18, 2024, Dr. David from CNAE's  R&D partner visited Zhongna Energy (Yangzhou) Co., Ltd. to provide guidance on the latest research and development achievements of sodium ion and lithium-ion batteries, and gave a key introduction to the senior management of Zhongna Energy.

CNAE has been expanding its overseas research and development center for batteries since 2018. In 2019, it reached a deep cooperation with Dr. David on battery cell technology and established the Cambridge Research and Development Center in the UK, focusing on key technologies for sodium ion and lithium-ion battery cells. At present, significant breakthroughs have been made in multiple battery cell technologies, which have also laid an important technological foundation for CNAE in the domestic and international market of battery cells.

Dr. David is a renowned Finnish inventor who has been awarded the third largest number of patents in Finland after NOKIA and KONE. He has also received two European Invention and Innovation Awards from the EU government.

During the visit, Dr. David was accompanied by Yan Jiachun, Chairman of CNAE, Zhu Chen, Vice Chairman, and Ma Huaping, General Manager, to visit the production workshop of China Sodium Energy.

Zhongna Energy is currently in the trial production stage and plans to officially start production in May. The main focus is on the research and development of all pole ear sodium battery products, using new electrolytes as the core technology of the products, and developing for multiple application fields. It deeply cultivates the light power track of electric energy storage, bringing multiple advantageous battery cells with extreme safety, ultra-low temperature, fast charging and discharging, and lower prices to the market.

After the visit, senior leaders of CNAE had in-depth discussions with Dr. David on core technologies. At the meeting, Dr. David gave an important report on multiple technological breakthroughs in sodium ions and lithium ions, deeply exploring more possibilities for battery cell products, solving key technical difficulties, and fully promoting the marketization process of battery cells.

In the future, CNAE will continue to leverage its technological research and development advantages, promote high-quality industry development through technological innovation, and contribute to sustainable development.
